Br Airway : The Jodhpur Airport is the closest mode of airways to reach the desert areas for safari. Jaisalmer is about 5 hours drive from Jodhpur. There is a strong network of domestic flights that land at Jodhpur from eminent cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Udaipur. For landing from foreign cities Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi and Jaipur International Airport will be the best option.

By Railway : Jaisalmer and Jodhpur have their respective railway stations, where the trains efficiently link various cities within and beyond Rajasthan. Tourists need to hire private or prepaid taxis to cover the rest of the distance to reach the desert areas or the hotels.

By Roadway : Several bus services run to and from Rajasthan and cities from neighbouring states. Even if direct buses are not available to Jaisalmer or Jodhpur, a change from Jaipur will take the tourists to their respective destinations.
